
VIDEO: H.E. Maj. Jessica Alupo Delivers Keynote Speech on Ending Human Trafficking

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, H.E. Maj. Jessica Rose Epel Alupo (MP), the Vice President of the Republic of Uganda and the keynote speaker for the day, addressed the issue of ending human trafficking during the launch of the Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign in Africa. This event was organised by the Pan-African Catholic Theology and Pastoral Network (PACTPAN).
Over 20,000 participants from PACTPAN, representing more than 31 countries, attended the webinar on February 8, 2025. The focus of the webinar was to discuss and propose actions aimed at combating and eradicating modern slavery and human trafficking by the year 2030, under the theme “Restoring Hope to Africa.” Participants connected virtually from Africa, Europe, and America.
