Overview
Sr. Regina Ignatia Aflah is a civil lawyer and highly enthusiastic and resourceful professional with over twenty-two years of experience in Administration and Human Resource Management and six years in the faculty of law as a tutor in international law, human rights law and environmental law. She is a highly articulated, confident, and persuasive team builder who can motivate and communicate to achieve exceptional performance.
Sr. Aflah uses her rich experience to champion respect for humanity’s liberty, especially in deprived communities. She currently works as the Executive Director for the Handmaids of the Divine Redeemer Sisters Foundation (HDRSF), a non-governmental organization managed by the Handmaids of the Divine Redeemer of Accra Congregation.
During the 2023 General Chapter of her Congregation, Sr. Aflah was elected the Vice Superior General of her Religious Congregation. Sr. is a member of Caritas Internationalis Legal Affairs Commission.

- Convene management meetings in consultation with the Managing Partner.
- Play a very active supervisory role and coordinate individual members’ input toward achieving the organization’s set targets, goals, and objectives.
- Report to the Board at its meetings as appropriate, progress and developments in the operations of the Organization.
- Coordinate and supervise departmental heads and Lawyers.
- Serve as the Secretary to the Board and keep accurate records of proceedings and decisions.
- In charge of donor funding from the United Nations (UN) and account appropriately to the UN at the end of the budgeted year.
- Have voting power in Board meetings and Management Team meetings.
- Head the Operations & Communication and Human Resource Development of the Organization.
- Work with all Lawyers in Human Rights Litigation and Advocacy.
