Brief Overview And Experience
Ms. Atim is an advocate of the High Courts of Kenya and Uganda now admitted to both the Kenyan and Ugandan Bars.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from Makerere University, Uganda and a Master of Laws degree in Public Finance and Financial Services Law from the University of Nairobi. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and a member of Downtown Toastmasters’ Club- Nairobi.
She has litigation experience in various areas of the Law and is the current legal advisor of Cyber Aware Africa, a non-profit organisation creating cyber awareness among children, the vulnerable and population at large.
Scholarly Works
Research: Tax and Revenue.
She worked as a senior researcher with the Committee on Fiscal Studies (CFS) of the University of Nairobi for 2 years. She is knowledgeable in both international and Domestic Tax Law.
Areas of research and publication:
Taxation of Collective Investment Vehicles, Double Taxation and Double Taxation Agreements, taxation of the extractive industries, taxation of the digital economy, transfer pricing, Illicit Financial Flows (IFFs) and the general area of financing for development and African fiscal systems.
