Brief Overview And Experience
An advocate with eighteen years (18) of working experience in Private legal practice, Government of Uganda specifically in the ministry of Defence, President’s office, Movement secretariat and now Operation Wealth creation among others. An advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all subordinate Courts. A holder of a post Graduate diploma in legal practice from the Law Development Centre and a Candidate of Masters of law in Oil & Gas from Uganda Christian University Mukono-Uganda.
Henry Kyarimpa holds a Bachelors degree in law (LLB) from Makerere University Kampala, a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Law Development Centre Kampala, He also holds a Masters of law in Oil & Gas from Uganda Christian University Mukono-Uganda and holds a Certificate in Computer Applications from Makerere University Faculty of Computing and Information Technology.
Mr. Henry Kyarimpa is an avid researcher in Socio- Political and legal matters. He was part of the Movement Secretariat Legal Team that made contributions to the concluded and Successful Journey to Uganda’s Political Transition from a movement political system to a mult- party political dispensation.
Henry Kyarimpa was part of the H.E Y.K. Museveni’s legal team that handled Presidential Election petition in 2006
Henry Kyarimpa was a legal procurement expert for Contractors f during the Engineering, procurement, construction and Financing of Karuma and Isimba Hydro Power Dams.
Henry Kyarimpa is currently a Partner with Mugarura Kwarisiima & Co. advocates and the Head of legal Affairs at Operation Wealth creation office of the President.
As an Advocate with a wide scope of engagements both in the civil and public employment, He continues to make an input into the legal framework of Uganda based on rule of Law good governance and Constitutionalism.
The thrust of his Contribution focuses on both civil and human rights, Corporate Governance, operation of legal institutions, Gender, democracy and good governance both in the public and the civil society.
Mr. Henry Kyarimpa is widely Knowledgeable and has respect for diversity. He has had an opportunity to interact with people from different disciplines Nationally, Regionally and Internationally.
Henry Kyarimpa unsuccessfully participated in the recently concluded 2021 Uganda’s General Elections as a Member of Parliament for Kabale Municipality
