Brief Overview And Experience

He is a Ugandan Chief Magistrate. He is a focused, hardworking, results oriented individual, a team worker and builder. His Objective in life is to work tirelessly for equality, non-discrimination and empowerment of all those thirsting for Justice, socio-economic and Cultural respect. He intends to be able to help in the realization of good governance and democratic principles in Uganda; and work together with others in the field of human rights to passionately enhance the observance, respect and realization of good practices for human existence within communities. To enhance access to Justice through provision of legal services to all.

Key Experience Record

May 2012 – Present: Judiciary Service of the Government of Uganda.

Mar 2010 – Jul 2012: Research and Advocacy Officer for the Refugee Law Project, Faculty of Law, Makerere University. During this period, he worked on the production of Documentary film titled; ‘We died long time ago’. He conducted Research & Advocacy on issues related Pastoralism and marginalized groups in Uganda, and conducted multiple Human Rights trainings and awareness campaigns.

Feb 2009 – Oct 2009: Programme Assistant, Africa Leadership Institute(AFLI), Uganda. His duties involved training Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) of 3rd Division on human rights during the Disarmament exercise in the Karamoja Sub-Region. He participated in the development of the training manual and contributed to the production of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and dissemination exercise across Karamoja sub-region. He carried out Human rights Monitoring and reporting. Spearheaded the Alternative livelihood programme of the Community; as a way to reduce the negative impacts of Conflict and poor policy interventions in the sub-region.
