Brief Overview And Experience

A Ugandan national born in Nabbingo, Wakiso District on 20th November 1978, I am a Muganda by tribe, single, attentive to detail, able to make critical decisions, managing deadlines and conducting team reviews. With expertise in person management, mentoring and dedicated to acquiring new knowledge through reading, knowledge sharing and research. I take pleasure in expanding the boundaries of imagination through critical analysis and engagement with available knowledge.

Vice President, Association of the Religious in Uganda, Kampala, Uganda (June 2021 to date)

Achievements and responsibilities:

  • Resolved issues and recommended actions based on reviewed performance of our staff and implementing partners of the Data and Research management center.
  • Chaired interview panels for staffing at our ARU national offices and for programs we are implimenting.
  • Spearheaded cross-functional initiatives across executive committees at ARU to achieve the Conference’s goals for as set out in the strategic plan.
  • Identified issues with MoU and other agreements entered with Kisubi University and engaged engaged the services of a lawyer to fix the problematic clauses.
  • Attended meetings, and made presentations on behalf of ARU.
  • Clarified roles, responsibilities and expectations of staff.

  • Collaborated with team members to achieve target results set by our chapter.
  • Built and maintained courteous and effective working relationships with and among all the members of the congregation.
  • Managed complaints with calm, clear communication and problem-solving.
  • Overseeing the management of the different missions entrusted to the congregation in Uganda.
  • Negotiating with bishops in different dioceses for new initiatives to be accepted by the congregation.
  • Mobilize donors and partners to work with us on the different projects we are working on.
  • Help organize for and support the efforts of capacity building for our members.
  • Mobilize funds to ensure the training of our brothers who are still in formation and those who must go for ongoing formation.
  • Taking on the challenging task of discerning and deciding on the suitability of the brothers in formation to continue to ordained ministry or not. This also involves accompanying and guiding them on the path of discernment and decision making.

Parish Priest, St. John the Baptist Parish Kambuga, Kabale, Kanungu, Uganda (November 2020 to August 2013)

Achievements and responsibilities:

  • Was one of two pioneer missionaries of the congregation to the diocese, and served as the first Parish Priest of that new Spiritan Mission.
  • Oversaw the pastoral care of over 11,000 Catholic faithful of the parish entrusted to the Holy Spirit Missionaries.
  • Set up systems needed to run the parish and initiated income generating activities.
  • Oversaw the development of another Spiritan Mission of St. Joseph’s Nyamirama, curved out of Kambuga parish.
  • Re-invigorated the Spiritual and social development life of the parish.
  • Trained and mentored Catechists to maximize their performance and effectiveness.
